Description

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) modifies and extends the existing Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBBP Program) and will help low-income households pay for broadband services and connected internet devices.

 

  • $14.2 in additional funding appropriated by Congress into the Affordable Connectivity Fund.

  • $30 per month is the new standard ACP benefit amount for households.

  • $75 per month is the enhanced support ACP benefit for households located on Tribal Lands.

 

 

The ACP has different eligibility criteria than the EBB program. Households can qualify for the ACP by showing that at least one member of their household meets one of the following:

 

  • Participates in the FCC’s Lifeline Program

  • Has household income at or below 200% of federal poverty limit (level adjusted from EBB)

  • Participants in free & reduced-priced school lunch program

  • Special supplemental Nutritional Program for Women,

    Infants, and Children (WIC) – New for ACP

  • Medicaid, SNAP Benefits, and SSI

  • Tribal Programs for Residents for Qualifying Tribal Lands

  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)

  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit Free

    and Reduced-Price School Lunch Program

 

Tribal Specific Programs:

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance,

  • Tribal Head Start (only households meeting the relevant income qualifying standard),

  • Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

    (Tribal TANF)

  • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations Households CANNOT use the following to qualify for ACP:

  • A substantial loss of income

  • Participation in a providers COVID-19 program

 

WIC Program

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children – better known as the WIC program

WIC is a new to the benefit criteria and will open up more opportunities to enroll participants into the ACP program.

We will need you to bring your documentation in order to run your application.

 

The following are examples of the documents we need in order to run your application.

 

 

If you have SNAP (EBT) and qualified for the program by yourself (not because of a child) please bring the following

  • Your ID, Drivers License or Passport

  • Your SNAP (EBT) Card.

  • A letter from SNAP establishing your enrollment and enrollment date along with expiration date if applicable.

  • Last four Digits of your SSN

 

If you have SNAP (EBT) and qualified for the program because of a child, please bring the following

  • Your ID, Drivers License or Passport

  • Your SNAP (EBT) Card.

  • Last four Digits of your SSN

  • Last Four of SSN of your child

  • DOB of the child

 

If you have WIC please bring the following

  • Your ID, Drivers License or Passport

  • Your WIC Card

  • A letter from WIC establishing your enrollment and enrollment date along  with expiration date if applicable.

  • Last four of your SSN

  • Name of child for which you have the WIC program

  • last four digits of SSN of your child.

 

If you have Medical, please bring the following

  • Your ID, Drivers License or Passport

  • Your Medical card

  • A letter from Medical establishing your enrollment and enrollment date along with expiration date if applicable.

  • Last four digits of your SSN

 

If your child is a participant in the Free and Reduced Price School Lunch or Breakfast Program, please bring the following.

 

Examples of acceptable documentation

 

  • A letter from the school or school district

  • Report card that includes child’s name, name of school and the school year.

  • Consumers submitting paper applications must also include such documentation when seeking to qualify based on their Childs or dependents enrollment in a USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school.

  • Last four of SSN

  • Your child’s DOB and last four of SSN

  • School name and school district

 

 

Affordable Connectivity Program is a federal government benefit program available to select eligible households. You may be eligible for the ACP based on your income or other criteria. Includes 50 domestic voice roaming minutes (sel. devices). Int’l. svcs. extra. Not all plans can be combined with other offers, You may choose to apply your discount for free service on either a 10GB Unlimited phone plan, tablet plan, or mobile hotspot plan. Unlimited voice and data plan (10GB/mo of 5G/4G): includes unlimited talk and text and 10GB of 5G/4G data. After 10GB, data speeds will be reduced. Mobile Hotspot Plan: Data usage limited to 10GB/mo of 5G/4G data.
